Summary This is a Research Coordinator I position supporting an investigator in the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This position is to coordinate day-to-day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, data collection, documentation, and ensure safety of research participants under the PI of Dr. Ricardo Jorge. The ideal candidate will be expected to manage their time and workload efficiently among multiple projects. Position is responsible for implementing day-to-day tasks of multiple research protocols involving veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and Gulf War Illness. This role will manage and oversee data collection on multiple research projects for Dr. Jorge Ricardo. Multiple research grants will vary between Baylor College of Medicine and the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and the individual in this role will be expected to manage this workload efficiently. Candidates should feel comfortable working with war veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic injuries. Strong interpersonal communication skills is needed for this role.
