(Seasonal) Steward

Job description

The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa located in Traverse City, MI has openings for 7 full time temporary stewards/dishwashers, $14.66/hr ($21.99/hr O.T.) from 4/1/2026 to 11/30/2026. This position will provide clean and sanitary service ware while maintaining kitchen cleanliness in all areas. This includes washing dishes, utensils, food preparation equipment, and delivering necessary dishware to Food & Beverage outlets and banquet functions. Stewards will follow all safety and health procedures when using cleaning chemicals. Working conditions include a fast-paced work environment and subject to wet floors. Must be capable of lifting/pushing up to 40 lbs, and occasionally 150+ lbs with or without assistance. Frequent exposure to hazardous and/or non-hazardous chemicals or substances. Must be able to quickly move arms, hands, and fingers to grasp; manipulate, write, type, and assemble objects. The ability to walk; sit; stand for extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
