Job description

Position Summary: Pick up and deliver meals from the Detroit Harbor Light location to the Monroe Harbor Light location. Essential Responsibilities: - Drive van on route making predetermined stops according to schedule - Load and unload meals on the van - Pick up and/or delivery of donated items as assigned - Complete daily maintenance check of van and report problems to designated person - Maintain cleanliness of van while on route and thoroughly clean truck after route is completed - Safely operate vehicle and follow all ruling road Qualifications: Education/Experience: - Understand and work within The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission and Positional Statements - Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light policies and procedures - Ability to get along with people - Dependability - Good communication skills - TB Test and police clearance required - Authorization to work in the United States - Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent Computer Skills: - Basic computer skills required Certificates and Licenses: - Valid Michigan Chauffeur license and approved by The Salvation Army MVR Physical Demands: - Must be able to lift 50 pounds - Ability to bend, re...
