Gynecological Sonographer - Part Time Job Summary: The Gynecological Sonographer performs ultrasound services and procedures to include setting up ultrasound machine and preparing for diagnostic test timely. They must be familiar with approved clinical protocols for each type of ultrasound examination he or she performs. (This is a Part-Time position that will support our GYN team at Billingsley Tuesday, Thursday, & Fridays 7:30 am to 5 pm) Requirements: - Check for patient arrival in Athena and check patient orders - Performs ultrasound diagnostic procedures as requested by the physician - Produces a variety of procedures that require independent judgment and initiative to create images for ultrasound diagnosis - Document tests results and maintains hard copy images - Inspects equipment daily and documents needed repairs - View patient chart for previous studies and pertinent information - Complete reports - Input appropriate charges ensuring medical necessity - Inform nurse or provider of completion of exams - Ensure physician needs are met to increase resource utilization and protocols/standards are up to date for accreditation - Notify ordering physician of abnormal exams - Ass...
