Armed Security Guard- Days and Nights

Job description

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: - Protect company properties, employees, and assets by patrolling buildings and grounds. Provide protective escorts when needed or upon request. Provide traffic control and parking enforcement when necessary. - Monitor security camera systems, the access control system and other related alarm/security or fire safety equipment. - Respond to safety and security calls. - Monitor compliance of safety and security regulations as outlined by OSHA, State and Federal guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required Skills: - Ability to react to emergency situations in a calm professional manner. - Ability to work with various types of safety and security electronic equipment, and being comfortable with operating various types of computer software. - Ability to read a computer screen, operate a computer terminal, various electronic security equipment, two-way radio system and telephone. - Must be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute. - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form. - Ability to patrol buildings, garages, and surface areas and restrain or chase subjects if necessary. - Ability to ha...
