Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job description

The General Assembly (GA) Process Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining the assembly sequences and manufacturing processes for Zoox's autonomous robots. This role serves as the bridge between R&D and high-volume production. Beyond technical process design, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to troubleshoot assembly bottlenecks and drive the evolution of our current and future vehicle platforms in a fast-paced , innovative environment. In this role, you will: Develop assembly sequences and layout detailed process steps. Execute line balancing studies to achieve production targets and optimize station cycle times. Manage and perform engineering line trials to ensure rapid implementation with minimal disruption to the assembly line. Provide critical feedback during design reviews for future programs to improve manufacturability, tool access, and ergonomics. Act as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting complex design, process, and quality issues on the line.
