Corrosion Engineer This position is responsible for supporting capital and special projects/programs that occur within Virginia Natural Gas (VNG) related to Corrosion Control and Design. This position will ensure adequate and consistent corrosion control designs (CP, AC/DC Interference, Coatings, etc.) are developed and implemented during all phases of new and existing projects. Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Functional Expertise: - Responsible to perform AC/DC interference monitoring and develop sound, technical solutions for remediation - Responsible for designing new Cathodic Protection (CP) systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures - Responsible for complex CP troubleshooting activities and generation of appropriate maintenance and remediation orders - Responsible for review of corrosion control designs for new construction or other / special projects - Ensures projects are designed and installed according to plans, specifications, procedures, and regulations - Review and evaluate new corrosion control technology for use.
