Department/Unit: Microbiology Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $38,937.60 - $50,618.88 The Laboratory Information Technician (LIT) receives specimens and verifies identification on these specimens, verifies information on the written request, transfers this information into the computer system and sends the specimen to the appropriate testing area(s). The LIT retrieves laboratory data and reports and assists authorized personnel, while maintaining patient confidentiality. This individual is also responsible for keeping the surrounding area clean and organized.
