Job description
The Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of advanced automation and control systems supporting magnet wire manufacturing operations. This role combines strong technical expertise with hands-on execution to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and cost performance. This individual plays a key role in defining technical strategies, executing complex projects, and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to advance manufacturing capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems for new and existing manufacturing equipment - Contribute to control system architecture and establish technical standards across projects (PLC, HMI, SCADA, networking) - Drive process improvements and equipment innovations to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost performance Execute hands-on technical work including: - Electrical system design and integration - PLC programming and development of control strategies - System troubleshooting and root cause analysis - Support new equipment introduction, including evaluation, instal...
