Job Description Summary Entity: Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type: Employee Worker Sub-Type: Regular Cost Center: CC000412 CHS - MUSC ECMO & CRRT (SJCH): Pay Rate Type: Hourly Pay Grade: Health-30 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Work Shift: Nights (United States of America) Job Description: The ECMO Coordinator is a hybrid role that has an advanced clinical concentration and with administrative responsibilities for the ECMO Department. The ECMO Coordinator is a Clinician who undergoes very specialized training in the various forms of Extracorporeal Support and has administrative duties parallel to Assistant Nurse Managers (ANMs) and incorporates a leadership requirement for the department. With limited supervision, the ECMO Coordinator reports to the ECMO Nurse Manager. For each shift worked, the ECMO Coordinator sets up and operates the extracorporeal circulatory equipment that provides the replacement of a patient’s circulatory, respiratory, and /or renal functions within the intensive care unit, operating room, and / or cardiac catheterization lab.
