Job description

Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy treatment as established by the Physical Therapist to meet specific measurable goals. Reports to Clinical Coordinator. Education: Associate's degree and graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required. Experience: Prior training or experience in related environment is preferred. Special Skills: Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. License/Cert: Must be certified as a PTA. Mississippi state licensure as required. - Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. - Assists the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations and procedures. - Carries out a treatment program for assigned patients, as determined by the evaluation performed by the Physical Therapist. - Designs and fits adaptive devices such as orthotics, mobility aids and tools based on patient disability and rehabilitatio...
