Classification Title: Asset Specialist I-Federal Work Study Student Classification Minimum Requirements: Have an approved Federal Word Study Permit for 2026. The person must be physically able to lift/move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Job Description: The UF Surplus Inbound and Outbound areas of the warehouse are responsible for the appropriate disposition and sustainability of all electronic property and furniture that is surveyed out as surplus by all UF departments. UF Surplus fulfills UF's sustainability commitment by reducing both UF's technology waste and furniture items by reusing within UF, reselling to the public or donating to the community, and recycling items that are no longer viable. The FWS student performs the following: Work on campus at the UF Surplus warehouse located one block from Lake Alice. Campus bus service is available to this location. - Lobby Area: Assists customers with auction sales and departmental transfers. Will locate the customers’ auction or transfer items within the 3 warehouses and move them to the dock.
