Responsibilities: PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Regularly performs the duties and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse for patients of all age groups. - When serving as Preceptor Nurse, serves as a role model and resource to the nursing staff. Also works with the manager and Nurse Clinician to ensure a well-planned and implemented orientation and training program for new employees. Identifies and recommends training needs of staff, and participates in developing new training programs. - When serving as Charge Nurse, coordinates daily activities and distribution of work in specific area assigned. Makes shift assignments taking into account patient acuity, area staffing needs, and staff qualifications.
