POSITION SUMMARY: In 2016, BMC established the GenderCare Center (GCC). With the unified structure, patients have a single point of contact for their care needs. We are the first center in New England to provide a comprehensive program and we are a national leader in delivery of gender affirming care. The Center’s work is deeply connected to local Transgender and Gender-Diverse (TGD) community, as we continue to collaborate with TGD organizations and community leaders across Massachusetts to provide accessible and supportive care. This paid internship is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting with an interdisciplinary team. This internship will support the Center’s program outreach, new initiatives, and administrative needs. We are looking for a candidate that has experience working with TGD communities, specifically with communities of color and low-income communities. Experience should include strong written and verbal communication skills, community outreach skills, and administrative support.
