Job description
Responsible for the daily operations of the off-site facility for private patient services 1. Professionally welcomes patients and assists in the gathering of all pertinent information and specimens 2. Completes requisitions 3. Collects all required specimens using proper safety techniques 4. Identifies and labels all specimens and keeps logs (manual and/or computerized) 5. Reviews accuracy of billing information and forwards specimens to appropriate testing facility 6. Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies 7. Maintains a clean and neat work area 8. Follows-up on all test results in a timely manner 9. Answers phone inquiries about all specimens collected 10. Delivers specimen to laboratories personally, if necessary 11. Provides weekly reports as requested on site for the Outreach Manager 12. Remains familiar with laboratory safety practices 13. Meets criteria for competency assessment in all areas - High School Diploma or equivalent. - One year work-related experience.
