Position Title Accounting Associate - Flagstar Advisors Location: New York, NY 10018 Job Summary: The Accounting Associate supports the Director of Finance in daily accounting operations for the broker dealer entity. This role assists with general ledger activity, regulatory financial reporting, trade and commission reconciliations, accounts payable, and month-end close processes. Accounting & Reconciliations: Broker‑Dealer / Wealth Advisory Financial Operations - Perform daily cash, clearing, and revenue reconciliations for broker‑dealer and advisory platforms. - Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with monthly/quarter-end close processes. - Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP. - Maintain accurate and organized financial records. - Assist with the preparation of financial data for FINRA, SEC, and state regulatory filings. - Support revenue recognition processes, including commissio...
