Job description

Description The Estimator is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and preparing detailed cost information to maximize cost-effectiveness during the preconstruction process. The Estimator will visit jobsites to gather necessary information, analyze proposals, specifications, and construction documents to thoroughly understand the project. The Estimator will work closely with Project Managers to coordinate and oversee the bid process. The Estimator then determines the time, labor, construction materials, and product costs for projects and communicates these requirements to clients. Duties and Responsibilities: - Evaluate proposals, specifications, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole - Work closely with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors - Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects - Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers - Visit construction sites to obtain necessary client requirement information - Provide accurate quantity takeoff information to provide a...
