Overview The US Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information (DOE OSTI) is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Technology team in preserving and disseminating DOE’s scientific and technical information via web applications. This role will be responsible for implementing DevOps best practices across the enterprise in support of OSTI’s transition to a modernized web application platform powered by containerized applications, providing technical guidance to development teams, improving agility and delivery speed, and driving cultural change toward a DevOps mindset. The position will primarily develop and implement a strategy to migrate OSTI’s current application development process and applications to a more DevOps‑styled deployment process by formalizing policies, procedures, and practices using DevOps tooling to deliver OSTI’s web applications. This is an onsite position, in Oak Ridge, TN.
