Position Overview Power your future with Qualus in our Engineering department as a Drafting Technician. Drafters at Qualus partner with engineering teams to support Substation Engineering and Protection & Control design projects. They create and modify drawings using CAD software including MicroStation and AutoCAD, while adhering to established CAD standards. With a foundational understanding of drafting principles, they develop substation physical drawings (electrical plans, elevation, conduit, and foundation drawings) and P&C drawings (AC and DC schematics, circuit schedules, single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams), and more. Our drafters also organize project drawing files, perform quality checks, and provide basic technical support for CAD-related tasks. They are also responsible for drawing submittals to clients.
