(1.5 nautical miles off North Fork of Long Island & 6 nautical miles off coast of Old Saybrook, CT). Marine transportation furnished by Government provided ferry. Key Role: - Commands and supervises the operations of Government-furnished ferry within domestic waterways - Coordinates and assigns work tasks and coordinates operational logistical schedules - Facilitates, assists, and participates in USCG inspections and compliance audits, and ensures all USCG and other regulatory compliance documentation requirements are upheld - Supervises the work of crew members - Determines course and speed; maneuvers to avoid hazards; and continuously monitors the vessel’s position using charts and navigation...
