Overview Salary: $82,936 - $129,817 + eligible for bonus program The Senior Manager of Operations for the Yard is responsible for overseeing all yard operations, including trailer/container movement, dock coordination, asset tracking, and yard safety. This position manages gate personnel, yard drivers, yard equipment, movement of units within the campus, shuttles to offsite yards and yard inventory. This individual will work in a dynamic matrix organization leading change initiatives to drive continuous improvement internally. Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee all day-to-day yard operations, including inbound/outbound container and trailer flow, dock coordination, and gate activities. - Manage yard personnel (gate clerks, yard drivers, and supervisors), including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. - Coordinate closely with warehouse, transportation, and logistics teams to ensure seamless movement of goods. - Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., dwell time, switcher utilization, dock turn times) to drive operational efficiency. - Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize yard performance. - Ensure compli...
