Market Range: 07 JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Simulation Education Coordinator works with UT Health Science Center, University Health Services, and external faculty to develop and facilitate simulation-based medical education and research activities. This includes assistance with the development of simulation scenarios, assessment tools, and the operation and management of simulation resources needed to support a successful simulation-based medical education course. This position may also provide instruction to faculty, staff, and volunteers on lab equipment and operational procedures. Prepares, maintains, and troubleshoots simulation equipment and materials related to simulation. Expands the field of healthcare simulation and UT Health Science Center’s visibility by 1) networking and collaborating at peer healthcare simulation programs and 2) serving as an ambassador of UTCAMS at local and regional simulation meetings/conferences. Provides assistance with creation or alteration of equipment for simulation events (moulage, bandaging, etc.).
