At MARSHALLTOWN, the Sourcing Engineer is responsible for the management and execution of projects within the Supply Chain/Purchasing department. Improvement projects would focus on the areas of supplier quality, new supplier development and qualification, ERP system improvements, supply/demand modelling, logistics/transportation optimization, and supplier quality improvement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Lead projects within the purchasing department including new supplier development, cost reduction, and process improvement - Apply statistical knowledge to identify areas for improvement within manufacturing processes in supply chain - New & existing product sourcing - Maintain accurate project schedules and communicate any issues in a timely manner to management. - Cost based comparative analysis (Make vs Buy, Buy vs. Buy analysis) - Evaluate supplier capabilities with respect to our business demands - Perform inventory analysis & ERP process man...
