Overview Non-Certified Medical Assistant, LeConte Women’s Healthcare Associates Full Time, 75 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift Perinatal Overview: Fort Sanders Perinatal Center, part of Covenant Health, specializes in caring for women with high-risk pregnancies. For more than 25 years, the center has provided expert guidance and advanced services for complex conditions such as multiples, maternal age, diabetes, hypertension, and infertility-related pregnancies. With locations in Knoxville, Morristown, and Sevierville, the team is dedicated to helping families make informed decisions and ensuring the safest possible outcomes for mothers and babies. Position Summary: Under general supervision, performs basic medical assistant activities on patients. Assists physicians or practitioner with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care. Responsibilities: - Performs basic medical assistant procedures such as weighing patients and taking vital signs. Performs injections, blood sugars, and urinalysis and urine pregnancy tests.
