Homeless Centre Officer Permanent: Grade B - £28,598 - £33,699 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week: In this role, you will provide practical, day‑to‑day support to households experiencing homelessness, often in emergency or crisis situations. Weekly hours will be on a rota‑based shift pattern, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Shifts will be from between 8am – 9.30pm Monday - Friday and 8am – 8.30pm on weekends. Working within one of our supported accommodation centres across the city, you will be part of a team delivering a temporary accommodation service , ensuring residents feel safe, supported and able to move forward. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting residents on arrival and throughout their stay in temporary accommodation - Assisting with housing benefit claims and basic financial arrangements - Helping residents plan their move into longer-term accommodation - Carrying out room inspections and safety checks - Responding flexibly to the needs of individuals and families - Writing brief case notes and maintaining accurate records - Working collaboratively with colleagues and par...
