KWS Seeds LLC in Tangent, OR is looking for a Quality Control Technician (full-time, permanent). The focus of this position is the daily activity of sampling and testing of sugar beet seeds at each phase of the production process with the goals of maintaining product quality. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Conduct tests to include but not be limited to germinations, purities, TKWs, sizing, x-ray, moisture testing, genetic testing, plantabilities, stress testing, sample preparation, sample retention and seed quality standards. - Accurately create, update and follow Quality Control (“QC”) standard operating procedures (“SOPs”). - Maintain all lab testing equipment. - Data entry using multiple input tools. - Train new/temporary employees on all SOPs. - Develop, support and maintain respectful working relationships with all departments. - Work rotating shifts as needed. - Wear required Personal Productive Equipment as needed. - Work rotating shifts as needed. - Pull/Store samples and mix soil as needed (using a forklift). - Ensure Company handbook, Rules, Guidelines and Procedures, and safety policies are followed and personal protective equipment is used correctly. - Occasionally travel a...
