Job Specialist III-REC (Spanish Bilingual) 260002H1 Description The Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) administers the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program which provides temporary income assistance to Massachusetts workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own and who can work, are available for work and looking for a job. Incumbents of positions in this series interview customers for unemployment insurance programs; explain program policies and procedures to customers; refer customers to other agency programs; review customer data and provide customer assistance; perform related work as required . Duties include but are not limited to the following: Interview customers of agency unemployment insurance (UI) programs, by telephone, in person or virtual, to obtain record and input to UI Online or other agency system as needed, to determine initial and/or ongoing eligibility of customers for programs and services.
