It's more than a career, it's a calling OK-SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm Job Summary: Scribes 50% or more of the time in this role. Provides assistance with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider (physician or advanced practice provider). Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. - Documents the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as discharge/follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. - Transcribes patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications. Completes patient's charts by transcribing results of any labs, x-rays, or other evaluations. Continuously checks the progress of data availability for orders, to ensure the patient's workup is complete so that the provider is able to make treatment decisions regarding that patient. - Transcribes consultations or discussions with family an...
