Aviation was once humanity’s boldest ambition, but the industry hasn’t successfully built a new plane in 40 years. We don’t think it has to be this way. Overview: You will take mechanical products from concept to flight qualification. Your primary function will be to expand Amca's product catalog by designing new aerospace hardware and working closely with build and test engineers to bring your products to life. Responsibilities: Own design and prototyping of new mechanical hardware Work with customers to understand end-use applications and challenge requirements as needed Take full ownership of mechanical design for flight hardware, including 3D modeling, structural analysis, detailed drawings, tolerance analysis, and material selection Prototype new components with manufacturability, integration, and performance as core constraints Work with test engineering to define and execute qualification plans including fixture design, environmental testing, and iterative design refinement Work closely with build engineers to ensure new designs are manufacturable at production f...
