Position: Sustainability Zero Waste Intern Department: Academic Affairs: Type of Position: Student employee: Exemption Status: Non-Exempt: Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, up to 20 hours per week Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No: Starting Salary Range: $15.34: Position Summary: Support the college’s goal of becoming a zero waste campus where diversion of materials from reaching the landfill is at or beyond 90%. The position requires a hardworking, detail-orientated, focused and enthusiastic individual. Required Qualifications: - Current Student - 16-20 hours per week during regular work hours. - Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills, hardworking, detail-orientated, focused and enthusiastic individual. - Understand and communicate effectively to diverse groups including faculty, students, administrators, supervisors, support staff, and contractors in order to translate college’s sustainability requirements into operational terms. - Ability to conduct duties in a friendly, discreet and professional manner. - Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments. - Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR along w...
