Waste/Material Handler - Night Shift

Job description

Title: Waste Handler Reports to: Environmental Manager: Location: Lansing, MI: Job Summary: Supports LG Energy Solution by managing the facility’s waste and recycled materials and provides overall support to the EH&S team as related to waste handling. Responsibilities: Waste handlers must ensure timely pick-ups of all waste and recycled materials and communicate with the requesters on pick-up timing and completion of the task. All waste handlers are responsible for the following as it relates to the facility’s hazardous, non-hazardous, medical, universal and recycling wastes. Qualifications: - Ensure smooth operation of all waste handling activities - Perform required inspections - Attend all training as required - Ensure all waste handling areas are clean and in order - Communicate with the EH&S team - Ensure that all duties are carried out in compliance with regulatory guidelines - Ability to work in all weather conditions - All other duties assigned as needed - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Possess a strong sense of urgency and the ability to multitask - Ability to work with others in a team setting as needed - Flexibility as it relates to daily work a...
