Job Summary: The Chain/Rope & Cable Department Head at Mac’s Hardware is a full-time sales associate position responsible for managing the daily functions of the Chain, Rope, and Cable department. This role requires delivering exceptional customer service by assisting customers with selecting appropriate products for their project needs, as well as measuring and cutting chain, rope, and cable to customer specifications. In addition to sales responsibilities, the Department Head is responsible for maintaining inventory levels by putting away freight, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the department remains clean, safe, and fully stocked. The role also includes executing price changes, completing merchandising resets, and ensuring all products are properly labeled and displayed according to company standards. Due to the high-demand nature of this department, the position requires frequent heavy lifting and the safe handling of materials and equipment.
