As the cook at Westfields Hospital & Clinic, you will perform a variety of patient food services that includes: - Preparing, seasoning and cooking food for the hospital and clinic patients, staff and visitors, and ensures that meals are ready at specified times. - Determining types and quantities of meats, vegetables, and soups to be prepared by reviewing planned menus. - Determining amount of foods needed to meet weekly menus and submits order to the department manager or designee. - Preparing fruit and vegetables using kitchen hand utensils. - Preparing special diet foods as needed. - Arranging plates in an appetizing manner. - Measuring and mixing ingredients according to approved recipes using blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, etc. Work Schedule: - 24 hours weekly / .6 FTE - Part-time - Weekday shifts vary between 11:30a-7:30pm and 9:30a-5:30p - Every 3rd weekend 11:30a-7:30p Required Qualifications: - High school graduate or equivalent. - Ability to calculate measurements in recipes to increase or decrease servings required.
