Job description

Position Function: This position will preserve the functionality of facilities and facility systems of the MS Veterinary Research and Diagnostic Lab, in Pearl, MS, by performing a variety of preventative, maintenance, and repair duties. The incumbent will collaborate and support Building Services Management staff at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Salary Grade : BMT-1: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Area of Specialization: MVRDL Anticipated Appointment Date: March 2026. Perform routine, preventive and reactive maintenance, and repair on buildings, equipment, structures, including HVAC units, electrical systems, plumbing, and safety equipment (e.g., fire alarms, smoke detectors).and other amenities. 2.
