Department: 37719 Atrium Health University City - Sterile Processing Services Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Varies Pay Range: $19.80 - $29.70 Job Summary: Ensures all surgical instruments and equipment are decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked based on quality and infection prevention standards. Demonstrates proficiency in four service lines and the ability to work with complex surgical instrumentation. Essential Functions: Adheres to safety standards. Transports and handles soiled items and sterile items with appropriate traffic flow. Identifies, responds & reports malfunctions and/or alarms. Performs efficacy and quality testing for all processes and equipment. Identifies manual and/or mechanical cleaning according to the manufacturer's IFU for all general, laparoscopic, robotic, orthopedic, neuro, cardiovascular, ophthalmologic, power, instrumentation. Performs flexible scope processing utilizing High Level Disinfection (HLD). Determines, prepares, and uses supplies required in the assembly process.
