POSITION SUMMARY: The Behavior Support Specialist is responsible for developing and facilitating the implementation of functional behavior and inclusion plans at the Expanded Learning Program. SALARY/PAY: $26.00/hour: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Understand and align school day's behavior support systems to the after school program. - Coach and train program leaders in the implementation of functional behavior and inclusion plans. - Provide small group and targeted support to the most significant behavior needs - Create individualized support plans based on needs - Observe program leaders and provide coaching and support in implementing effective classroom management guidelines and supports - Develop and implement positive behavior incentive programs for classrooms and whole program - Utilizes specialized behavior approaches to assist students with improving his/her communication skills; social skills; play skills; motor skills; self-help skills; school readiness skills; and self-management skills - Integrate YMCA core values in all behavior support plans - Support in the documentation of behavior logs and reports - Communicate with Site Director and School site plan to align and collabo...
