Your Opportunity The primary role of the Mining Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineer for underground mines is to ensure a constant and controlled supply of fresh, clean air for underground workers through ventilation studies, performance analyses, and ventilation design. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and designing ventilation systems for underground mines and spaces. This will consist of developing the system designs for the overall ventilation system and the ventilation infrastructure including main fans, cooling systems, heating systems, auxiliary fans and ventilation controls. The candidate will also be responsible for conducting studies for ventilation optimization. To facilitate these studies, the engineer will collect data onsite and identify opportunities for energy savings and improvements to the mine ventilation system. In addition, the candidate will work closely with the client to obtain approval for all assumptions and calculations used in the analysis.
