WI-SSM Health Outpatient Center-Sun Prairie Worker Type: Intern/Temporary (Trainee) Job Summary: Assists with eye exams including exam set up, cleaning and restocking. Helps patients select frames and measure and fit them for their optical prescription. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Setups of optometry area. - Assists in performing eye exams. - Assists with measuring patient eye lengths, centers, and distances. - Cleans and restocks after procedures. Maintains inventory. - Obtains lens prescriptions. - Assists with ordering frames and lenses. - Instruct how to care for eyewear. - Assists patients with selecting frames. - Fits glasses to patients. - Respects patient confidentiality and maintains Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. - Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. - Performs other duties as assigned.
