Position Overview: The 1st and 2nd Shift Molecular Technologist I (6:00am - 4:30pm and 2:00pm - 12:30am) will isolate and quantify nucleic acids, perform polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests and next generation sequencing (NGS), library construction, and other NGS-associated procedures. Essential Duties: include but are not limited to the following: - Perform processing of patient samples using molecular biology protocols governed by standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Extract nucleic acids from sample types; including, but not limited to, human tissue, blood, and saliva. - Construct DNA/RNA libraries and NGS. - Operate liquid handling robots. - Analyze and problem solve basic sample and/or plate issues. - Review patient and control data, and document according to laboratory quality procedures; identify and c...
