Intake Registered Nurse (Psychiatry) (Full Time)

Job description

This is a position working in a behavioral healthcare hospital. To deliver quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients who present for a behavioral health assessment or are hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders; to serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization philosophy of care; to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient. *Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 2:00 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. *Pay Range: $50/hr. to $67/hr. Responsibilities: Skills: - Conduct medical screens for all patients who present for Intake - Determine if the patients are medically stable and can be treated safely on-site. Must be able to identify neurological deficits and level of consciousness - Conduct vital signs, breathalyzer, O2 saturation levels, and glucometer levels - Calculate and interpret BMI - Competent in assessment of communicable disease exposure, risk, and interventions - Complete a pain assessment.
