Class B Welder (Rig Welder)

Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Class B Welder to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Class B Welder will produce precise fusing, cutting, and repairing of metal parts and structures for piping systems and steel materials. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Study and interpret blueprints and measurements - Read sketches and specifications. - Inspect structures and materials before welding. - Be able to use grinders, buffer, file, and chipping hammer to prepare weld area. - Operate torches and power supplies - Use and maintain specialized welding machines and equipment - Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. - Monitor stages of the welding process. - Assess the quality of welds and identify flaws - Assist in component installation, fit up and alignment. - Weld metal materials to piping systems equipment using the appropriate welding procedure for the various equipment and metal types involved. - Must be able to ARC, MIG, TIG weld on Pipe.
