SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK SUMMARY: This position will assist each functional group (packaging, non-corrugated material, quality assurance, and production) in tasks related to receiving, inspecting and recording shipments and become familiar with the core process of each group. Successfully interact with internal and external customers and suppliers with superior customer service ability. Plan loads to customers based on order quantities; combine them to make multiple stop deliveries to maximize trailer utilization and minimize cost. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Set up delivery appointments for loads planned and customer pick ups - Cut bills for all loads and communicate with logistics all outbound and delivery times - Unload packages and checking their content for accuracy, and assisting in the management of inventory - Serve as back up to procurement team members, and assist in logistics and procurement when needed - Develop and maintain relationships with assigned suppliers and customers including knowledge of their needs and requirements - Collaborate with many areas of the organization to ensure the highest quality of data and information sharing - Control inventory levels by...
