Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for supporting the Shipping Supervisor and assisting with managing and coordinating all activities related to the Shipping & Receiving Department, as well as providing leadership and direction for shipping staff. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Safe operation of forklift or other powered equipment in the loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and staging of product. - Safe operation of box truck in the delivery of product to local customer. - Ensures accuracy of orders and inventory by completing tally sheets and auditing procedures - Inspect forklifts, trailers, commercial vehicles, and other equipment daily and report any maintenance issues to Shipping Supervisor. - Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. - Effectively store product in appropriate locations. - Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage by following audit procedures. - Document and report any variances appropriately. - Pull and prepare orders for shipment. - Prepare & keep accurate paperwork to guarantee accurate inventory control. - Lead and motivate team members in the assigned area to...
