Overview The Local Area Network (LAN) Lead provides support to a specific DLA geographic region (Northeast, Central, South, and West). This position will support and provide direction to the network engineers in their assigned region. Responsibilities: - Assist the network engineering team with equipment lifecycle planning and installation, as well as development of technical specifications for procurement of Enterprise LAN equipment. - Coordinate with the Network Engineering team for the placement and cabling of LAN equipment within the DLA enclave. - Development of market research for new equipment and provide recommendations to Government POC. - Provide input on LAN designs and architecture as required. - Perform lab testing of LAN equipment. - Provide knowledge transfer to the Network & Telecommunications Services (NTS-LAN) government staff. - Track assigned projects, provide regular updates to the Task Order Project Manager (TOPM) and Government POC. - Attend meetings regarding LAN support and assigned projects. - Task, track, monitor and report on tickets, projects, and special assignments within their area of responsibility. - Ensure LAN network diagrams are kept up to date...
