Tool Room Technician, 3rd shift

Job description

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Standard Duties: Tool Room - Blueprint reading and interpretation. - Set up and operate machine tools such as a manual lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. - Programming various tool room machines via conversational and G&M coding. - Understand heat treat principles of various tool steels. - Understand and apply mathematics related to machine set up and fabrication of finished parts. - Troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, inspect, and test a variety of tool room equipment. - Perform equipment failure analysis and preventive maintenance - Work with the engineering staff and outside vendors regarding fabrication and tooling design. - Visually inspects and tests finished parts for quality standards and functionality. - Monitor equipment to detect malfunction and take appropriate action to resolve - Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. - Fabricate and repair counters, bench...
