Introduction The Optical Column department in Veldhoven develops optical metrology systems for chip manufacturing. In this internship you help improve how we monitor and understand optical performance. Your work supports better overlay measurements and higher yield for customers. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and architects. You will turn complex data into insights that guide design decisions. Your assignment: You will analyze optical performance data from metrology systems and link findings to design choices. You will create simple, reliable tools that transform raw data into clear information. You will test hypotheses through structured experiments or simulations. Your main responsibilities will be: Analyze system data to quantify optical performance and stability. Build tools in MATLAB or Python and create easy-to-read dashboards. Trace behavior to relevant optical design specifications and key parameters. Formulate and test hypotheses using design of experiments or simulations.
