POSITION: On-Call Housing Advocate REPORTS TO: Housing Manager: STATUS: Part-Time, Regular, Non-Exempt: COMPENSATION: $22 per hour: BENEFITS: Employee Assistance Program, Paid Sick Time LOCATION: Sacramento, CA (This position is not eligible for remote work.) AVAILIBILITY: The STEP Shelter operates 4:30pm – 9:30am PT. The shifts are Swing Shift 4:00pm - 12:30am PT and Overnight Shift 12:30am - 9:00am PT. This is a grant-funded position with no minimum amount of hours. On-Call Housing Advocates must consistently be able to cover at least one of the two shifts, which may be scheduled up to 2-weeks ahead or called-in on an emergency basis in alignment with their stated availability as requested by the Housing Manager, Director of Housing or Leader on Call. JOB SUMMARY: The On-Call Housing Advocate is responsible for supporting the implementation of daily programming within the housing continuum, which includes prevention & intervention, drop-in services, STEP Shelter.
