Job description

Description A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Tao Yue , in the Center for the Genetics of Host Defense at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study cancer immunology and generate a cutting-edge translational immunology platform for biomarker discovery and immunotherapy development. Established in 2022, the Yue lab aims to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of immunotherapy resistance and develop next-generation cancer immunotherapies. Current projects in the lab include: (1) dissecting the acidic tumor microenvironment to develop novel acid-resistant immunocytokines for cancer immunotherapy; (2) utilizing a live tumor bank to identify predictive biomarkers of resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors and to design immunotherapy strategies for unresponsive patients; and (3) deploying tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and humanized tumorgraft mouse models with autologous immune systems to test novel immunotherapy approaches for localized drug delivery, improved efficacy, and reduced systemic toxicity.
