Registered Vascular Technologist-Senior (HOPD Surgery Vascular MARC)

Job description

Under limited supervision, responsible for performing a variety of noninvasive tests on adult and pediatric patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of Vascular Disease, as ordered by a physician. May lead or mentor lower level team members. EDUCATION: Associate's Degree degree and completion of a formal vascular technology training program or two (2) years in an allied health care training program is required. EXPERIENCE: Six (6) years of clinical experience in a vascular laboratory as a Registered Vascular Technologist is required. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Active RVT required. - Performs advanced vascular exams on patients using Doppler ultrasound equipment. - Exams include arterial and venous studies of upper and lower extremities. - Requests and gathers patient information to aide in the diagnosis of the patient. - Maintains database of patient information. - Reviews orders and explains studies to patients, discusses studies with referring physicians or ordering physicians. - Writes protocols for diagnostic testing.
