Overview POSITION TITLE (Oracle title): SUBSTITUTE SPECIALIST WORKING TITLE: Substitute Specialist SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT: Human Resources-Talent Acquisition: LOCATION: Crossroads III, Cary, NC: PAY GRADE: Noncertified Grade 26: FLSA STATUS: Nonexempt: ELIGIBILITY FOR EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT: No: WORK WEEK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is available for a hybrid telework workweek POSITION PURPOSE: Oversees substitute teacher applications and reactivations according to minimum eligibility requirements while following an established substitute teacher hiring process. Completes the annual renewal process for substitute teachers; oversees substitute teacher information in the substitute teacher management system (currently Absence Management), ensuring information is updated and accurate. Manages and compiles reports, data, and statistics related to substitute teachers. Provides quality Human Resources support and assistance to schools, substitute teachers, Human Resources administrators, and applicants.
